The Colorado has two cargo-bed and cab styles that can be paired with good number of powertrain options. To know more, take a glimpse at its features described below.
What’s New for 2018?
As per the Spartanburg Chevrolet dealer, the Colorado 4WD ZR2 is seen to have minor changes for its 2018 version that includes a handful of new features like a pair of heated exterior mirrors and Active Towing. The mid-size pickup truck comes standard with V-6 and diesel models but not with four-cylinders.
The Colorado 4WD ZR2 from Chevrolet is proud to have a powertrain that suits the purpose of all. With a 2.8-liter inline-four engine as base it is paired with a manual transmission, gushing out a horsepower of 308. The V-6 engine when paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, is able to build up an impressive torque of 369 lb.-ft.
The Colorado 4WD ZR2 comes with a gas-powered four-cylinder that has earned the EPA ratings to give a mileage up to 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg in the highway with the automatic while with the six-speed manual transmission it comes down to 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg for the highway. The Colorado 4WD ZR2 has been redesigned to improve the performance rating and that has included a cylinder-deactivation technology but with a better look.
Exterior and Interior
To celebrate their 100th anniversary Chevrolet came up with a new version of Colorado in 2018 that is named as the 4WD ZR2. The special package for this edition has included a few new features for the exterior like a heritage badging, a color-keyed grille, a rear bumper, chrome exterior bits, a spray-in bed liner and a set of unique 18-inch wheels. The Anniversary Edition even has to offer a range of exclusive paint colors like Kinetic Blue, Centennial Blue and Satin Steel Metallic.
The front seats of the Colorado 4WD ZR2 have become like that of the full-size pickups that make the passengers feel at home in the cabin. The vehicle can now boast about its most spacious cockpit that it serves in its class. But with the name of Chevrolet, people would expect a bit more upgraded interior materials that fits all other features of this pickup truck.
The Colorado 4WD ZR2 with its extended-cab model is having a long 6’2″ cargo bed which is an optional feature if you take its crew cab, as the standard cargo bed with this version keeps only a 5’2″ box.
As shared by the Chevy dealer Spartanburg, the Colorado 4WD ZR2 with its V-6 is overtly quick for a pickup. As the handling gets better, it throws a tough challenge to its rivals in its class and even its full-size counterparts. The truck carries a top-heavy demeanor that might feel a bit risky in twisty roads but overall it carries out all the tasks with equal competence which is certainly appreciable.
